Eric Ludwig, President, CEO
Mr. Ludwig has an extensive work history in the Benefits and Human Resources field. He worked with Interactive Medical Systems from 1986 until 1992, where he held positions from Account Representative to Vice President of Administration. From 1992 until 2000, he worked in Manufacturing, Service and Healthcare and held various positions in Human Resources ranging from Corporate Benefits Manager to Director of Human Resources. In 2000 he returned to IMS as President and CEO.
Mr. Ludwig is the 2021-2022 Chairman of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA), a member the Self Insurance Institute of America (SIIA), the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). He holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). He has served on the SIIA Educational Task Force, the Board of Directors of Delta Dental Plan of NC, and TPA Resource Group.
Mr. Ludwig received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and in Insurance and Economic Security, from the University of South Carolina.
Brent Monroe, COO
Mr. Monroe oversees the company’s administrative and service operations including; claims adjudication, information systems, data analysis and reporting, and HIPAA security and privacy compliance. Mr. Monroe is a member of Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).
Mr. Monroe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science Education from Wingate University. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in History from East Carolina University.
Candy Whitaker, Director – Client Success
Ms. Whitaker joined IMS in 1998 as a Claims Adjuster. Until 2007, she held an account servicing position; which included marketing, project management, and customer service. She currently manages the Client Services & HR Outsourcing Department. Ms. Whitaker assists IMS customers by providing a multitude of services that insure the quality and timeliness of benefit plan management from direct client service, marketing, coordination of vendor and stop loss insurance placement, presentations, plan management and renewal guidance, and new group implementation.
Ms. Whitaker has also worked in Human Resources and holds a Professional in Human Resources certification.
Ms. Whitaker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State). She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration from Meredith College.
Josh Ludwig, Manager – Client Success
Mr. Ludwig has been with the IMS Client Service Team since 2016. Prior to joining the IMS team, Josh worked as a Financial Accountant in the Financial Services industry.
Josh received both a B.S degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University. He is also a licensed Life, Accident & Health or Sickness agent.
Carol Price, Manager – Claims Department
Ms. Price has over 18 years work experience in benefits and claims administration. She has worked with IMS since 2009 and manages all facets of our claims and customer service operations. She is also responsible for staff development, quality improvement, and quality enhancement.
Ms. Price served as our Plan Compliance Manager prior to being promoted to Claims Manager. She has extensive knowledge on HIPAA, COBRA, PPACA, etc.
Ghafar Raza, Manager – Accounting & Finance
Mr. Raza has been with IMS since 2013 and he runs the day to day operations of IMS’ Accounting Department. He has great financial and technical skills and has improved processes and brought in new efficiencies to the Accounting Department. He manages our clientsâ€™ funds and bank accounts, making sure our clientsâ€™ funds are secure through regular audits. Ghafar is also responsible for IMS HR/Benefits.
He has accounting degree from NC State University and currently working on his MBA from ECU. He is also a member of AICPA and NCACPA.
