Eric Ludwig – CEO
Eric is President and CEO of IMS, where he leads the organization’s overall strategy and operations. He has extensive experience in employee benefits and human resources, with leadership roles spanning third-party administration, manufacturing, service, and healthcare. He returned to IMS in 2000 as President and CEO after previously serving in multiple leadership roles with the company.
Eric is active in the employee benefits and HR industry and has served in leadership and board roles with several professional organizations. He holds certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double major in Finance and Insurance and Economic Security from the University of South Carolina.
Brent Monroe, MA – COO
Brent oversees IMS’s administrative and service operations, including claims adjudication, information systems, data analysis and reporting, and HIPAA security and privacy compliance. He is a member of the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators (SPBA).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education from Wingate University and a Master of Arts in History from East Carolina University.
Candy Whitaker, MBA – Vice President, Administration
Candy is Director of Client Success at IMS and has been with the organization since 1998. She leads the Client Services and HR Outsourcing Department, overseeing client support, account management, and benefit plan administration. She partners with clients on plan implementation, renewals, vendor coordination, and stop-loss placement, ensuring effective and timely benefit plan management. She also brings extensive experience in human resources.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from Meredith College. She is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).
Josh Ludwig, MBA – Vice President
Josh joined IMS in 2016 and provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for IMS clients across self-funded benefit programs, CDH accounts, and COBRA administration. He serves as a senior escalation point for clients, brokers, and strategic partners, and partners with executive leadership on organizational strategy, growth initiatives, and operational development. He also oversees stop loss coordination and marketing support functions.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is also a licensed Life, Accident & Health or Sickness insurance agent
Carol Price – Manager, Claims
Carol has over 18 years of experience in benefits and claims administration and has been with IMS since 2009. She manages all facets of claims and customer service operations, including staff development, quality improvement, and operational performance.
She previously served as Plan Compliance Manager before being promoted to Claims Manager and brings extensive knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, and PPACA.
Ghafar Raza, MBA – Director, Finance
Ghafar is Manager of Accounting & Finance at IMS and has been with the organization since 2013. He oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls and has helped improve efficiency across the department. He is responsible for managing client funds, banking relationships, and audit processes to ensure proper controls and security. He also oversees IMS human resources and benefits administration.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University. He is a member of the AICPA and NCACPA.
